Porta potties at a wedding: how to make them not the thing guests remember
I'm planning a 150-guest wedding for a late September afternoon into evening. The ceremony and reception are in a field at a private farm. We're serving a full dinner and have an open bar. I've rented two deluxe portable toilets and one ADA-compliant portable toilet for the six-hour event. The rental company will place them on level ground about 75 feet from the main tent, but they confirmed a vacuum truck can get close for service the next day.
My goal is to make the restrooms a non-issue. I'm thinking about evening lighting, a small attendant station for quick tidying, and decorative baskets with essentials. I'm also planning clear signage from the tent. What are your best tips for placement and setup to keep things clean and discreet? Does an attendant for a wedding of this size make a noticeable difference?
