Placement
Also called: siting, where to put the porta potty
Placement is where a portable toilet stands: on level, firm ground within truck access, away from food and drink service, downwind of guests, out of vehicle paths, with a lit and accessible route for users. Good placement prevents tip-overs, odor complaints and missed service.
At events, planners put clusters at the edge of the crowd with sight lines to the main area, never behind a stage or a tent wall, and add lighting for anything after dark. On job sites, units go near the entrance where the truck can reach and the crew does not have to cross active work.
Avoid slopes, storm drain inlets, sprinkler zones, freshly poured surfaces and any spot the truck cannot reach after rain.
