What's the most unusual location you've ever had to place a porta potty?

After nine years driving a vacuum truck in Akron, I've hauled units to some wild spots. Once placed a standard portable toilet halfway up a muddy construction site slope for a crew of 20, truck access was a nightmare, had to winch it up. Another time, set a deluxe unit with a flushing bowl and sink for a week-long outdoor wedding on a farm, 100 guests, alcohol served, ground was soft grass. The weirdest was an ADA-compliant unit for a film shoot in a downtown alley, right-of-way placement, permit required, truck barely squeezed in. What's the most unusual location you've had to drop a unit? Ever had to service one in a truly bizarre spot?

The most unusual location I've ever approved a portable toilet for was on a floating dock for a fishing tournament. The permit application required a standard unit secured to the dock with marine-grade tie-downs, and the rental company had to use a small barge for delivery and service. The service frequency was daily due to high use and the risk of spills into the water, which drove up the cost significantly.

Another odd one was a deluxe unit placed inside a historic building's courtyard for a film shoot, with no vehicle access. The crew had to carry it through a narrow alley, and servicing required a compact vacuum truck with a long hose reach. Unusual locations like these always increase the rental price because of the extra labor, specialized equipment, and often more frequent service visits needed.
