October 2026 wedding: How to discreetly place porta potties near a tent?

We're planning our wedding at my family's property next October. We have 150 guests for a 6-hour reception with a full bar and dinner service under a large tent. The ground is flat grass, and a truck can drive right up to the tent area. My main concern is the view: the tent has open sides, and I don't want a row of standard porta potties right in the sightline of our guests. I've looked at deluxe units and a restroom trailer, but I'm not sure how to place them so they're convenient but not an eyesore. How do you hide or screen portable restrooms without making them too far away? What's the best way to keep them accessible for service but discreet for photos and the reception?

Place the restrooms behind the tent or a natural screen like a hedge, ensuring they remain within 100 feet for guest convenience. A restroom trailer offers the best discretion, as it resembles a small building and can be positioned with its door facing away from the tent. For 150 guests with a full bar and 6-hour reception, you need more units than the baseline guideline of one per 50-75 people; plan for a cluster including at least one ADA-compliant portable toilet to meet the 5 percent rule. Deluxe units with sinks also reduce visual impact compared to standard models. Ensure the location has level ground and clear truck access for delivery and service. Service frequency may increase due to the event duration and bar service, affecting cost. Use decorative screens or foliage to mask the units without obstructing pathways.
