Backyard wedding for 120: Where's the best spot for porta potties to be discreet?

I'm planning a backyard wedding for 120 guests at my parents' property in Charleston. The ceremony and reception will be under a tent, with dinner and an open bar, running about six hours. Our yard is small, mostly flat grass, but there's a gravel driveway where a truck could park for delivery. I want to rent a few standard portable toilets and one ADA-compliant unit, but I need them placed where they're easy to reach without being visible in photos or from the ceremony spot. Where's the best spot to tuck them away while still keeping them accessible? Should I consider a restroom trailer instead for better disguise?

The best spot for portable toilets at a backyard wedding is behind a natural screen like a hedge or a garden shed, or tucked along the side of the house where the gravel driveway allows truck access but the units are out of sight from the ceremony and reception areas. Place them on level ground within 25 feet of where the vacuum truck can park for servicing.

For 120 guests with an open bar over six hours, you will need more than the guideline of one standard unit per 50 to 75 people for a four-hour event. Plan for at least three standard units and one ADA-compliant unit to meet the ADA cluster rule and handle the duration and alcohol.

A restroom trailer offers a more upscale look and can be disguised with decorative panels, but it requires level ground, electrical power for lighting and flushing pumps, and a water hookup or onboard tank. It costs more due to its features and setup needs. Standard units are easier to hide in small spaces and only need weekly service, though a one-day event like this may not require a service visit during the rental.

Place the units behind a mature tree line or a temporary screen of potted plants along the gravel driveway for truck access. The driver will check for level ground and confirm the cluster is within 25 feet of the service point. For a six-hour event with alcohol, consider adding a fourth standard unit to prevent lines, as the guideline is a starting point and alcohol increases usage. A restroom trailer requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit or a generator, which adds setup complexity and cost, but it can be more discreet if styled to match wedding decor.
