200-person wedding, 6-hour reception, open bar. How many flushing units?

My wedding is in May for 200 guests, with a six-hour reception and an open bar on my parents' property. We are splurging on flushing portable toilets because we want a nicer guest experience. The ground is level grass and the truck access is clear. The rental company has deluxe portable toilet units with a flushing bowl and a small sink. I know the standard planning advice is to add more units when alcohol is served and for a longer event. But does the math for how many units we need change when using flushing units compared to standard ones? Do guests use them more quickly because they are nicer, or does the flushing mechanism mean they stay cleaner longer with the same service frequency? I'm trying to balance guest comfort with not over-ordering.

Order six or seven flushing portable toilets for your 200-guest wedding. The units per person guideline for a four-hour event starts at one unit per 50 to 75 people. Your six-hour reception and open bar require more units than the baseline. The flushing mechanism does not change the number of units you need, but it improves the guest experience.

A flushing unit has the same holding tank capacity as a standard unit. Guests will use it at the same rate. The difference is that a flush and a sink with running water keep the bowl and interior cleaner between uses. This maintains comfort but does not reduce the overall demand from 200 people.

You must also include at least one ADA-compliant portable toilet to comply with the ADA 5 percent cluster rule. For a six-hour event with alcohol, plan for a mid-event service visit to pump the tanks and restock supplies. This prevents overfilling and ensures the units remain clean for the entire reception.
