Formaldehyde vs formaldehyde-free porta potty deodorizer: what is the real difference?
Our venue coordinator asked my team to specify formaldehyde-free deodorizer for the standard portable toilets we're renting for a weekend festival. We're expecting about 300 people over two days with food vendors and beer gardens. The units will be on a grassy field with good truck access for weekly service. I've only ever seen the blue liquid in units before and never thought about what's in it. What's the real difference between formaldehyde and formaldehyde-free formulas? Does one work better for odor control, or is it just about environmental rules? And if we go formaldehyde-free, should we expect to pay more or need more frequent servicing?
