Formaldehyde-free deodorizer

Also called: non-formaldehyde chemical, green deodorizer

A formaldehyde-free deodorizer controls odor in a portable toilet holding tank with quaternary ammonium compounds, bronopol or enzyme and bacteria blends instead of formaldehyde. Many treatment plants refuse formaldehyde-bearing waste, which pushed the industry toward these products.

For a renter the practical difference is small: the unit is still blue and still smells of fragrance. For an operator the difference is disposal: formaldehyde interferes with the biological treatment at a plant, and plants that accept septage often test for it.

If a rental customer or a venue asks for a green or non-toxic treatment, this is what they are asking for.
