Should I hire an attendant for a restroom trailer at a long event?

We're hosting an eight-hour gala for 250 guests on a level grass field with truck access. We've rented a four-stall restroom trailer with flushing toilets, sinks, and a generator. There will be alcohol and food served. I'm trying to decide if we need to hire an attendant to keep it clean and stocked throughout the event. How often does a trailer like this need attention with that many people? What exactly would an attendant do, and is it worth the extra cost?

Yes, hire an attendant for an eight-hour gala with 250 guests on a four-stall restroom trailer, especially with alcohol and food on site.

A trailer that size can cover the headcount, but over a long day the stalls get messy between formal service visit windows. An attendant restocks toilet paper, soap, and towels, wipes seats and counters, empties trash, and watches fresh water and holding tank levels so you are not surprised halfway through.

With alcohol, peak use clusters after dinner and later in the night. Someone walking the restroom trailer every 30 to 45 minutes keeps lines moving and stops a small mess from turning into a stall that guests will not use. They also keep the generator area clear and know who to call if a flush fails or the gray tank fills early.

I would still ask the rental company about a mid-event pump for a day that long, and treat the attendant as the person who notices when that call needs to happen. For a shorter daytime party with fewer guests I have skipped the attendant. At your length and headcount I would not.
