Fresh water tank
Also called: flush tank, sink tank
The fresh water tank is the onboard reservoir in a flushing unit, a handwash station or a restroom trailer that supplies flush water or sink water without a hookup. The driver refills it at each service.
Fresh water tanks are why a flushing unit or a sink can be placed anywhere the truck can reach: no plumbing needed. They also limit use: when the tank is empty the flush or the sink stops working until the next service.
Restroom trailers can run from an onboard fresh tank or from a garden hose connection; for a long event the hookup is the safer choice.
