November 2026 corporate retreat: 75 people for 3 days

I'm planning a corporate retreat for 75 people over a three-day weekend in November 2026. We'll have alcohol served evenings only, with catered meals during the day. The site is a private campground with level gravel ground, and a vacuum truck can drive right up to the restroom area. I'm deciding between standard units, deluxe units with sinks, or a restroom trailer. How many total units do I need for this group size and duration? And what's the minimum number of ADA-compliant units required by the ADA cluster rule?

You need a total of 4 to 6 portable toilets for 75 people over three days, including at least one ADA-compliant unit per the ADA cluster rule. The OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 construction standard does not apply here since this is a guest event, not a worksite. Use the event planning guideline: one unit per 50-75 people for a four-hour event. For three days with alcohol served, plan for more units, start with 4 and add 2 more if the crowd is mostly women or to reduce lines. The ADA Standards for Accessible Design require at least one accessible unit in any cluster, so your minimum is one ADA-compliant portable toilet.

For unit types, standard units are cost-effective but lack sinks. Deluxe units with flushing and sinks add comfort but need more frequent service due to smaller holding tanks. A restroom trailer offers multiple stalls and amenities but requires power and level ground, driving up cost. Service frequency: weekly is standard, but for a three-day event with alcohol, schedule a service visit during or after the event to prevent overfilling. Your gravel site and truck access simplify placement and service.
