2026 New Year's Eve party: 120 guests, 6 hours, champagne. Units?

We're hosting a New Year's Eve party in our backyard for 120 guests, running from 7 PM to 1 AM, so about six hours with champagne flowing. It's a mixed crowd, mostly adults but a few families with kids. The ground is level grass, and a truck can pull right up to the edge of the yard for delivery and service. I'm trying to figure out how many portable toilets to rent and whether to go with standard units, maybe a deluxe one with a sink, or even consider a restroom trailer for a nicer experience. How many units do I need for this size party with alcohol involved? And does the ADA rule apply since it's a private event?

Rent three or four portable toilets for 120 guests over six hours with champagne. Alcohol and duration require more units than the base guideline of one unit per 50 to 75 people for a four-hour event. The ADA 5 percent cluster rule applies to public accommodations and events open to the public; a private backyard party typically does not trigger it, but including one ADA-compliant unit ensures accessibility for guests with mobility needs. A standard unit suffices for basic use, but a deluxe unit with a flushing toilet and sink or a restroom trailer offers a nicer experience. Restroom trailers need level ground, electrical hookup or a generator, and fresh water supply. Service frequency for a one-day event is not weekly; the rental company will service after the event. Pricing depends on unit type, rental duration, delivery distance, and any add-ons like handwash stations or extra servicing.
