What's the one thing you always check on a service visit?
Hey all, Deb here. I've been driving a vacuum truck for nine years, servicing 40 to 60 units a day on construction sites, at fairs, and on farms.…
A service visit is the scheduled stop by a vacuum truck driver who pumps the holding tank, recharges the deodorizer and water, cleans the interior, restocks toilet paper and checks the unit for damage. Weekly service is the industry norm for a unit in normal use.
The weekend or event rate is the flat price for a portable toilet delivered before an event and picked up after it, typically covering Friday to Monday. It includes one cleaning before delivery and, at some companies, a service visit during a multi-day event.
A missed service is a scheduled service visit the driver could not complete, usually because the truck could not reach the unit: a locked gate, a blocked drive, vehicles parked in front, soft ground or a unit moved by the customer. Most agreements bill the trip and reschedule.
