We're three weeks into a bathroom remodel with a standard unit on the driveway. The contract calls for a weekly service visit every Friday. Last Friday nobody showed. The tank still has blue deodorizer in it and it does not smell bad yet, but we are a family of four using it all day, not a small jobsite crew.

I called the office and they said the truck got behind and they would try to squeeze us in midweek. What usually happens when a weekly pump is missed? Do they make it up the next day, slide the schedule out a week, or credit the missed stop somehow? And how long can a driveway unit go past its service day before it turns into a real problem for a household?

Most yards make up a missed weekly service visit within a day or two once the truck clears the backlog, not a full week later.

When a Friday pump slips, the dispatcher usually slots you on the next open route day midweek. They do not skip you until the following Friday as the default. A household of four on a driveway standard unit fills the tank faster than a small jobsite crew, so waiting a full extra week is a bad bet. Blue deodorizer still looking okay does not mean the tank has capacity left. After about ten to twelve days of family use between pumps, the tank gets high, the smell climbs, and paper starts to float.

Call the office again and ask for a firm midweek window, not a vague squeeze. Confirm whether they credit a missed stop or just push the calendar. Keep the driveway clear for the vacuum truck so they can actually finish when they do show. If Friday comes and goes again with no truck, escalate the same day rather than hoping the next scheduled Friday fixes it.

I had a remodel driveway unit miss one Friday in July. They came Tuesday morning after I called Monday. Waiting until the next Friday would have been a mess with four people on it all day.
