What's the real cost difference between a standard unit and a deluxe unit?

We're gutting our only bathroom for a month, so I got quotes for a standard portable toilet and a deluxe portable toilet. The standard unit quote was straightforward, but the deluxe one jumped up a lot. I know the deluxe has a flushing bowl, a sink with running water, and a mirror, but that doesn't seem to justify the price difference on its own. Our driveway is level gravel, and the truck can park right next to it. We're two adults using it daily, no parties or extra guests. What exactly drives the higher cost for the deluxe model? Is it just the sink hardware, or are there hidden factors like more frequent service visits or different waste disposal?

The higher cost of a deluxe portable toilet comes from its complex hardware, increased service needs, and higher disposal costs. A deluxe unit has a flushing mechanism, a sink with running water plumbing, and a larger fresh water tank, all requiring more maintenance and parts than a standard unit. Your weekly service visit will take longer because the operator must refill the fresh water tank, check the sink and flush mechanisms, and handle more waste volume. The waste from a flushing unit often has more liquid and requires careful disposal due to potential restrictions on certain deodorizer chemicals at treatment plants. For your home renovation with two users, a standard unit would function adequately, but the deluxe offers comfort features that justify its premium through added convenience and cleanliness.
