50-person office picnic: is one deluxe porta potty enough?

I'm planning a small office picnic for 50 people at a local park, and I'm trying to get the toilet rental right without over-ordering. The event runs for four hours with light snacks, no alcohol. The park has a flat, grassy area for the unit, and a service truck can drive right up to it.

I'm considering one deluxe portable toilet. It has a flushing bowl, a small sink with running water, and a mirror. That seems a lot more comfortable than a basic unit. But I'm not sure if a single unit is enough for a group that size over four hours, even with the faster flush cycle. I also need to think about the ADA cluster rule. Since I'm only getting one unit, should it be the ADA-compliant model to cover accessibility?

Is one deluxe unit sufficient for 50 people for four hours? And if you only have one unit, is it better for it to be accessible?

One deluxe portable toilet is insufficient for 50 people over four hours. The industry guideline for events is about one unit per 50 to 75 people for a four-hour event, and a single unit cannot handle the peak usage of a group that size without long lines. Add a second standard unit to distribute traffic and reduce wait times.

Since you are placing a cluster of portable toilets, the ADA cluster rule requires at least one unit to be ADA-compliant. Make one of the two units an ADA-compliant model to meet accessibility standards and serve users with mobility needs.

The deluxe unit with a flushing bowl and sink requires more frequent service than a standard unit due to its smaller holding tank and water usage. For a four-hour event, service is not needed during the event, but inform the rental company about the unit type and event duration so they can schedule post-event pumping appropriately. Ensure the placement is on level ground with clear truck access for delivery and pickup.
