Are formaldehyde-free deodorizers as effective in heat?
I'm running a 200-person construction site in Dallas through the summer. We have eight standard units and one ADA-compliant unit on level gravel, truck access is good. Weekly service is keeping up, but the heat is brutal. My rental company switched to formaldehyde-free deodorizer last year to meet the wastewater plant rules. It works fine in spring, but by July, the units get that sour smell by day four. I'm considering upgrading to deluxe units with flushing bowls and sinks for better ventilation and less splash, but I don't know if that fixes the heat problem. Has anyone in the South compared formaldehyde-free to the old formula in 100-degree heat? Does a flushing unit hold up better?
