Saturday backyard party: same-day pickup or leave the unit until Monday?

We're hosting a backyard graduation get-together on a Saturday afternoon, about 50 people from noon to early evening. The house bathroom will stay for family, so guests need a standard unit on the driveway edge where a truck can reach it.

What I'm stuck on is the pickup timing. I'd rather not have a porta potty sitting out all day Sunday if we only need it for Saturday. A couple of quotes treat this as a weekend rental with Monday pickup. One person on the phone said same-day Saturday pickup might be possible if the route lines up, but it sounded optional.

For a one-afternoon party with level ground and clear truck access, is same-day pickup something operators actually schedule, or should I plan on the unit staying until Monday? Any gotchas with asking for Saturday pickup after a late afternoon party?

Same-day Saturday pickup is not standard practice and most rental companies will require a weekend rental with Monday pickup. Operators run scheduled routes and a Saturday pickup after an evening party conflicts with driver hours and truck logistics. The company that mentioned same-day pickup likely treats it as an exception if their route happens to pass your area late Saturday, but you cannot rely on it.

Plan for the unit to stay until Monday. A standard unit for 50 people at a one-afternoon party fits the event guideline. The rental duration drives the cost, not the actual usage hours. A weekend rental covers Friday delivery through Monday pickup.

If you insist on Saturday pickup, confirm it in writing and expect a premium for an unscheduled trip. A late afternoon party end time risks missing the driver's cutoff, resulting in a missed service and an extra charge. Clear truck access on your driveway helps but does not change the scheduling reality.
