Hot-weather routes: what changes about servicing porta potties above 95 degrees?

On hot weeks we bump service frequency before we mess with the deodorizer blend. When it stays above the mid-90s, a weekly pump is not enough for a framing crew on an open pad with no shade. The holding tank cooks, the blue starts smelling sour by day three, and deluxe sink tanks run dry if people rinse tools in them.

What we ask the rental company for is mid-week service on those routes, extra toilet paper and water jugs left on site, and shade if we can swing a canopy over the unit. Same deodorizer they always use works fine if the tank gets emptied more often. Festivals are a different animal. Food vendors plus heat means daily service at least, and you stage extra standard unit capacity near the food line because that is where the tanks fill first.

I do not try a different chemical mix myself. That is on the vacuum truck crew. My job on the GC side is to call early when the forecast spikes and get the service calendar moved before Wednesday hits with full tanks.
