What drives the price difference between monthly and weekend rentals?

I'm comparing costs for two different jobs: a three-month construction site with 25 workers and a weekend music festival with 600 people. The site has level gravel and truck access, so we'd use standard units on a weekly service schedule. The festival is on grass with alcohol and food vendors, so we need a mix of standard, deluxe and ADA-compliant units, plus handwash stations, all serviced daily. The monthly rental rate per unit is lower, but the weekend event has a higher per-day rate, more units and extra service visits. What drives that price difference besides service frequency? Is it the delivery density, the risk of damage at events or something else in the operator's costs?

The price difference between monthly and weekend rentals is driven by the operator's cost structure for delivery density, service logistics and event risk. A monthly rental for 25 workers under OSHA 1926.51 requires one standard unit and one urinal or two standard units on weekly service. The operator delivers once, services weekly and collects after three months. The festival requires about 8 to 12 standard units plus deluxe units, ADA-compliant units and handwash stations for 600 people with alcohol, all serviced daily. Event rentals have high delivery density, many units placed and serviced in one trip, but also higher labor costs for daily servicing, more fuel for the vacuum truck and greater risk of damage or misuse from crowds. The operator factors in the shorter rental period, the intensive service schedule and the potential for extra cleanup or repairs after an event.
