Can a porta potty sit on a slope if it is shimmed, or does it need flat ground?

Our bathroom remodel unit is supposed to go on the side yard, but that strip has a noticeable grade toward the alley. The flat pad by the garage is where the truck parks and the crew stores lumber, so it is not free.

The rental office said the unit needs level ground. I am wondering whether wood shims or pavers under the skids are enough, or whether a sloped pad will leak, tip, or mess up the door seal. How much tilt is too much before they refuse delivery?

Anyone run a long-term home rental on a grade, and what actually worked for staking and weekly service? I keep seeing level ground mentioned but not the practical fix when flat space is gone.

A portable toilet can sit on a slight slope if it is properly shimmed, but the unit must be made level to function correctly. The rental company will refuse delivery if the slope is too severe because the unit could tip, the door may not seal, and the holding tank will not drain properly into the tank's sump area, causing leaks and odors.

For a long-term rental like a bathroom remodel, you need a stable, level base. You can use pressure-treated wood shims or pavers under the skids to achieve this. The key is that the unit is level side-to-side and front-to-back when you're done. The service driver will check this on every service visit.

If the grade is very steep, you may need to build up a small gravel pad or use railroad ties to create a level spot. Good staking is extra important on a slope to prevent any shifting. Just ensure the truck access for the weekly pump-out is still clear, if the driver can't reach it, you'll get a missed service and likely a trip charge.
