Our bathroom remodel unit is supposed to go on the side yard, but that strip has a noticeable grade toward the alley. The flat pad by the garage is where the truck parks and the crew stores lumber, so it is not free.

If the grade is very steep, you may need to build up a small gravel pad or use railroad ties to create a level spot. Good staking is extra important on a slope to prevent any shifting.
