High-rise site: backup plan if service elevator is booked?

I'm running a 24-story build in downtown Phoenix with 140 crew on site for the next 10 months. We have six standard portable toilets and one ADA-compliant portable toilet on the 12th-floor podium deck. The rental company services them weekly with a vacuum truck that needs the service elevator. That elevator gets booked solid for concrete pours and material moves. I already had one missed service last month when the truck showed up and the elevator was down for two hours. The crew complained for days. What's the backup plan here? Do I push for a dedicated elevator slot, or is there another way to guarantee service?

You need a dedicated elevator reservation for the service visit every week. The rental company's vacuum truck requires that elevator access, and a missed service means the units go uncleaned, the holding tank fills up, and the crew complains. Your site has 140 workers, which under OSHA 1926.51 requires at least four toilet seats and four urinals, or the equivalent in units. You have seven units total, which meets the minimum, but they are all in use. Weekly service is the norm, but with 140 people using them, they might need service more often in the heat. Talk to the elevator scheduler and set a standing weekly appointment for the portable toilet service truck. Put it on the calendar like a concrete pour. If the elevator goes down, you need a backup plan like moving the units to the ground floor for that day, but that is a lot of work. A dedicated slot is the best way.
