Do guests actually mind porta potties at a backyard wedding, or is a trailer just for show?
We're having our wedding at my parents' place in Charleston next spring, an evening reception with 140 guests, a tent, a band and a caterer. There's no way the house plumbing can handle that many people.
I've been looking at restroom trailers, but they are a significant part of the budget. For the same money, I could get a whole cluster of standard portable toilets, a couple of deluxe units with sinks, and an ADA-compliant one for my grandmother. The ground is flat and a truck can get right up to the spot.
My big worry is the guest experience. Do guests actually mind using standard porta potties at a backyard wedding, or is a restroom trailer just for show? Does the type of unit really affect how people remember the night, especially for an older crowd?
