Mid-project layout change: will they relocate our porta potty, or is that a full pickup?

We're six weeks into a twelve-week residential gut rehab in Chicago, and the site plan changed. The standard portable toilet is currently on the side yard gravel, but we need it moved about 100 feet to the back alley for the rest of the project. The new spot is level and has truck access from the alley. It's for a crew of eight guys, serviced weekly. The rental invoice just says monthly rate plus delivery. Is this a simple relocation the driver can handle on the next service visit, or does it count as a new delivery with another fee? What's the usual policy for moving a unit mid-rental?

A relocation of your standard portable toilet within the same site is usually simple and done during a service visit without a full new delivery fee. The driver can move it with a hand truck or the service truck’s lift if the new spot has truck access and level ground. Call your rental company now to schedule the move with your next service. They might charge a small relocation fee for the extra labor, but it won’t be a full delivery charge. Policies vary by contract, so check your rental agreement for any move clauses. For a crew of eight, one unit meets OSHA 1926.51 since it’s under 20 workers. Weekly service is standard for that size crew.
