What's the weight of an empty ADA-compliant porta potty?

We're placing a portable toilet on a rooftop deck for a six-week residential addition. The crane lift is tight, so I need the empty weight of an ADA-compliant portable toilet. I know a standard unit weighs about 200 pounds empty, but the ADA model is larger with more interior space and a ramp. The rental company hasn't provided specs yet, and I want to confirm before scheduling the lift. Has anyone lifted one of these onto a roof or similar spot? What's the actual weight range, and does it vary much by manufacturer?

An empty ADA-compliant portable toilet typically weighs between 250 and 320 pounds. It is heavier than a standard unit because it has a larger footprint, a ramp, and more internal volume. The weight varies by manufacturer and specific model features. The larger size is required to provide the turning space for a wheelchair, as defined by the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design.

For a rooftop placement, confirm the exact weight with the rental company before the lift. The unit's weight is important for crane capacity and rooftop structural load. The holding tank in an ADA unit is also larger, so the total weight will increase significantly when in use. For a six-week project, you will need to arrange service visits where the vacuum truck can access the street below. The crane operator will need to account for the empty weight and the rigging setup.
