Bathroom remodel done Friday: how many days notice for porta potty pickup?

We're finishing a gut bathroom remodel this Friday and the standard unit has been on the driveway for about six weeks on a monthly rate with weekly service. I'd like it gone before the weekend so we're not staring at it during a family cookout Saturday.

Nobody told me up front how much notice they need for pickup. Do most companies grab it the same day you call, or do I need to book pickup a few days ahead so we don't roll into another billing week? Truck can reach the driveway fine and the unit is level.

Also wondering if they pump it before they haul it, or if that just happens at the yard. First time I've rented one for a remodel so I don't know the end-of-rental drill.

Most companies need two to three business days' notice for pickup, so call them Wednesday at the latest for a Friday pickup. A same-day pickup is rare unless you pay an extra rush fee, and you want to avoid rolling into a new billing cycle. The rental company will pump the holding tank on-site with their vacuum truck before hauling it away; they do not transport a full unit. Your driver will confirm the pickup date when you call, and since your placement has good truck access, it should go smoothly. End the rental on a service day if you can, so you are not billed for an extra week. For a six-week remodel job like yours, the monthly rate with weekly service visits is standard, and pickup is included in the contract. Just make that call by midweek.
