Our porta potty is 100 feet from the road. Is that a problem?

We rent a standard portable toilet for our ranch hands. The rental company delivered it four weeks ago and serviced it once, but the driver had to stretch his hose a long way. The unit sits about 100 feet from the driveway where the vacuum truck parks. The ground is mostly flat grass, but it's a straight shot back to the unit.

I am worried about the next service visit. Will the service truck's hose reach that far without losing suction or causing a problem? What is the maximum hose length a vacuum truck can use effectively? Should we consider moving the unit closer, even if it is less convenient for the crew?

Most operators prefer the unit within 25 feet of the truck for reliable service. The driver stretched the hose once, but that does not mean it is a standard practice or without risk. Moving the standard unit closer to the driveway is the right move. Choose a spot on level ground with clear truck access to avoid missed service charges and ensure the holding tank is fully emptied each week. Your crew's convenience matters, but a blocked or poorly serviced unit is worse.
