Job site is muddy after rain. Can they still deliver a porta potty on soft ground?

Our framing lot turned into soft mud after two days of rain. We still need a standard porta potty this week before the crew shows Monday. Will a delivery truck even put a unit down if the ground is soft, or do they refuse and tell us to wait until it dries out?

I'm also worried about the unit tipping or sinking once people start using it. The only flat-ish spot is off the gravel pad, about twenty feet from where the truck can stop. Do rental crews bring boards or pads for soft ground, or is that on us to set up before they arrive?

If anyone has dealt with a muddy drop, what worked? We can wait a couple days if that is the smarter call, but I do not want to get stuck with a tipped unit midweek. Spot notes on placement would help too.

A delivery truck will place a standard portable toilet on soft ground if you provide a stable base. The driver will not refuse delivery, but they require firm footing to avoid the unit sinking or tipping during use. You must prepare the site before arrival.

For muddy conditions, lay down a bed of crushed stone, lumber scraps or plywood sheets at least four feet square to distribute the weight. The unit weighs about 200 pounds empty, but it gains mass with use. Place it on level ground within 25 feet of truck access to allow servicing.

Rental crews do not typically bring stabilizing materials; that is the customer's responsibility. If the unit sinks or blocks service access, you will be billed for a missed service visit. Waiting for drier ground is safer if you cannot create a solid base. On my sites, I use gravel or wooden pallets in wet areas to keep units upright and serviceable.
