October 2026 wedding: 180 guests, 6 hours, open bar. Units?

We're planning our wedding for October 2026 on my parents' property in Charleston. We'll have 180 guests, an open bar, and catering for a six-hour event. The ground is grassy but level, and a truck can reach the spot easily. I'm trying to figure out how many units we need, I know alcohol means more restroom use. Should we go with standard units, deluxe flushing ones, or consider a restroom trailer? Also, how many ADA-compliant units are required for a group this size?

You need at least four standard portable toilets and one ADA-compliant unit for 180 guests with an open bar over six hours. The ADA 5 percent cluster rule requires one accessible unit in any cluster of portable toilets, so include one ADA-compliant portable toilet. Add more units because alcohol increases restroom use and the event is longer than four hours.

Standard units work fine for grassy level ground with good truck access. Deluxe flushing units or a restroom trailer cost more due to features like sinks and mirrors, but guests appreciate them for weddings. A restroom trailer needs electrical power and level ground, which you have.

Service frequency depends on use: weekly is normal, but for a one-day event, service happens after. More units mean higher rental costs, and features like flushing or trailers add to the price. Delivery distance and add-ons like handwash stations also affect cost.
