Missed service because our dumpster was in the way. Who moves it next time?
We have a standard portable toilet on our residential addition site in Chicago, rented for 12 weeks. The unit sits on level gravel behind the house, about 30 feet from the driveway. Yesterday, the driver couldn't service it because our dumpster was blocking the truck access path. The rental company charged us for a missed service visit. I get that the driver needs clear access with the vacuum truck, but who's responsible for moving obstacles like dumpsters? Should we coordinate with the waste hauler to shift it on service days, or does the rental operator handle that? I don't want this to keep happening.
