Porta Potty Forum

Deluxe vs standard porta potty for a corporate event with clients.

I'm planning a corporate client appreciation event for 150 people, four hours, with catered food and an open bar. The venue is a park with level grass, and the rental company can drive a truck right up to the spot. I need to decide between standard and deluxe portable toilets. A standard unit is basic and functional. A deluxe unit has a flushing toilet, a sink with running water, and a mirror, which feels more like a permanent restroom. I want to avoid negative impressions, but I also have a budget to manage. How much of a difference does the deluxe upgrade make for guest experience at this scale? Is it worth the extra cost for a corporate crowd?

A deluxe portable toilet makes a significant difference for a corporate client event. The flushing toilet, running water sink and mirror create a cleaner, more permanent restroom feel that avoids the negative impression of a standard unit. For 150 people with food and an open bar, you need more units than a basic event. The industry guideline starts near one unit per 50 to 75 people for a four-hour event, but alcohol and catering increase usage. Plan for at least three units, and remember the ADA 5 percent cluster rule requires one ADA-compliant unit in any cluster. Deluxe units cost more because they are heavier to transport, use more water and require more frequent servicing to keep the fresh water tank full and the gray water tank emptied. Weekly service is the norm, but flushing units and events with alcohol often need mid-event service. The upgrade is worth it for a corporate crowd where client comfort reflects on your company.
