October 2026 Halloween block party: 300 people, 8pm to midnight. Units?

I'm planning an October 2026 Halloween block party for about 300 people from 8pm to midnight. It's a costume party, and a local bar will be serving alcohol. The street will be closed, and we'll have food trucks. The units will be placed on the asphalt street, which is level, and a truck can pull right up to the spot for delivery and service.

Given the costumes, the alcohol, and the fact it's a four-hour evening event, I want to make sure we have enough units and that they're well-lit and safe. I'm looking at a mix of standard units and at least one ADA-compliant unit to meet the ADA cluster rule.

How many total units should I rent for this guest count and duration? And what's the best way to provide lighting for them at night?

Rent at least seven portable toilets for a Halloween block party with 300 guests and alcohol service. The industry guideline for a four-hour event with alcohol is one unit per 50 to 75 people, and costumes and drinks will increase usage. Include one ADA-compliant unit in the cluster to meet the ADA cluster rule, which requires accessible units where multiple are placed together. For lighting, attach a solar light to the top of each unit; solar lights charge during the day and provide illumination at night without wiring or power sources. Place all units on the level asphalt with clear truck access for delivery and service. Since the event is only four hours, weekly service is not needed, but confirm with the rental company that units will be delivered clean and fully stocked. The cost depends on the number of units, type, and any add-ons like lights.

Brooke's count is good, but add a handwash station with soap and paper towels. The food trucks and costumes mean people will need to wash hands more. A solar light on each unit works for lighting, but confirm the rental company includes them or rents them separately. The asphalt street is level and has truck access, which is perfect. Since it's a four-hour event, you won't need a service visit during the party, but make sure the units are delivered clean and fully stocked that afternoon.
