Hunting camp used weekends only: bi-weekly service okay?

I run a hunting camp in Montana that gets used maybe two weekends a month, mostly October through December. We have a crew of eight guys, no alcohol, just basic meals. The camp is remote, the service truck has to drive 40 miles on gravel roads to reach us, and the ground is uneven pasture. I'm renting a standard portable toilet and a handwash station. Since it's used so little, I'm wondering if bi-weekly service is enough to keep things clean and avoid odors. The rental company pushes weekly visits, but that seems overkill for our use. Has anyone else cut back on service frequency for a weekend-only site? What's the risk of the unit getting too full or smelly between visits?

Bi-weekly service is enough for a hunting camp used two weekends a month by eight people. A standard portable toilet holds 50 to 70 gallons, and with light use, it won't fill up or develop strong odors in two weeks. Weekly service is the industry norm, but your usage pattern justifies less frequent visits. The risk of overfilling is low because eight people generate minimal waste over four weekends a month. Odor control depends on the deodorizer remaining effective; most formulas last two weeks without issue. Confirm with your rental company that they use a formaldehyde-free deodorizer, which is standard and environmentally safer. The remote location and gravel road access might affect the service cost, but bi-weekly visits should reduce your overall rental expense. Ensure the unit is placed on level ground for stability and that the handwash station is serviced on the same schedule to prevent issues.
