Fall festival with 2000 guests over two days: how many porta potties?

I'm coordinating a fall festival in October 2026 at a city park with 2000 guests over two days. We'll have food trucks and a beer garden, so alcohol and food service are involved. The ground is level grass, and a service truck can access the area easily. I'm trying to figure out how many porta potties we need, including ADA-compliant units. Should we go with standard units, deluxe units with flushing, or consider a restroom trailer? What's the right mix for this size event with food and alcohol?

For a two-day fall festival with 2000 guests, food, and alcohol, you'll need around 30 to 40 portable toilets, including at least one ADA-compliant unit per cluster. Start with the guideline of one unit per 50 to 75 people for a four-hour event, but increase the count due to alcohol consumption, longer duration, and food service, aim for the higher end. A mix of standard units and a few deluxe flushing units near food areas can balance cost and comfort; restroom trailers are an upscale option but require power and level ground. Don't forget handwash stations near food trucks, as health departments often mandate them. Weekly service is standard, but for heavy-use events, plan for mid-event servicing to maintain cleanliness. Costs depend on unit types, rental duration, service frequency, and delivery distance.
