Service truck access: what's the maximum hose length for pumping?

I'm a general contractor in Chicago and have a standard portable toilet on a six-month residential job. The site is tight, and the only spot for the unit is about 75 feet from where the service truck can park on the street. The ground is level grass. I'm trying to figure out if the driver's vacuum hose will reach that far. I know the truck needs to get close, but I've never had to place one this far from the access point. What's the maximum hose length most operators work with for pumping a standard unit? Does it change for a deluxe unit or an ADA-compliant unit? And what happens if the hose won't reach, do they charge extra for a longer hose or just refuse to service it?

A vacuum truck hose reaches about 50 to 60 feet from the truck to the unit. The maximum hose length for pumping a standard portable toilet is 60 feet. The hose length does not change for a deluxe unit or an ADA-compliant unit because they use the same vacuum hose and pumping process.

Your unit is 75 feet away, which exceeds the typical hose length. The driver will likely refuse to service it because the hose cannot reach that far. Vacuum pumps lose suction over longer distances, and operators avoid extending hoses beyond 60 feet due to efficiency and safety concerns.

If the hose won't reach, the rental company may require you to move the unit closer to the access point. They do not charge extra for a longer hose or provide one; instead, they may log a missed service if the unit is inaccessible, and you could be billed for the trip. Always ensure the unit is within 25 feet of truck access to avoid service issues.
