What's the one tool you never service a porta potty without?

I'm new to driving a vacuum truck and servicing portable toilets. My route covers construction sites, weekend events, and long-term rentals. I've learned that having the right tools makes a huge difference when you're facing 40 to 60 stops a day. Some days it's a standard unit on level ground with easy truck access, other days it's a deluxe unit with a flushing bowl and sink tucked behind a food vendor at a festival, or an ADA-compliant unit on a muddy construction site where the truck can barely reach. I keep my basics covered: gloves, hose, deodorizer, and paper. But I want to know from experienced drivers, what's the one tool you never service a porta potty without? Is it something for unclogging, leveling, or dealing with frozen tanks in winter?

A vacuum truck driver should never service a portable toilet without a high-pressure water sprayer. This tool is essential for cleaning the interior walls and floor of every unit type, from a standard unit to an ADA-compliant unit, especially after heavy use at events or on construction sites. A sprayer removes stubborn waste, prevents buildup, and ensures a sanitary condition before adding fresh deodorizer and paper. It saves time compared to manual scrubbing, which matters on routes with 40 to 60 stops. For frozen tanks in winter, some drivers use a separate tank heater or non-toxic antifreeze, but a sprayer with warm water can help thaw minor ice in the holding tank or around the mechanism. While gloves, hoses, and deodorizer are basics, the sprayer is the key to efficiency and quality service, reducing callbacks for missed cleaning.
