What's the worst vandalism you've seen on a porta potty?

I pulled up to a construction site on a Monday to find someone had taken a forklift to a standard unit. The whole corner was crushed in. That was a write-off. Last summer, a wedding party decided to decorate a deluxe unit with what I hope was cake. It was caked on so thick it took me an hour with a pressure washer. The worst was a restroom trailer after a three-day festival. Someone tried to pry open the locked cabinet for the electrical panel and bent the door. The repair bill was high because it's a specialized part.

My company charges a damage waiver on some contracts, but sometimes the damage is just vandalism. Graffiti we can usually clean, but structural damage or broken fixtures mean pulling the unit. What's the worst vandalism you've seen on a porta potty? How does your company handle the repairs?

The worst vandalism I saw was when a standard unit was pushed down a steep hill on a construction site. The unit tumbled and cracked the tank and the roof, and it was full. That was a total loss. I have also seen a deluxe unit with the sink and mirror ripped out, which was expensive to fix. My company does not charge a damage waiver for residential rentals like mine. For vandalism, the policy is to document the damage with photos and report it to the customer. If the damage makes the unit unusable, like a cracked holding tank, they pull it and replace it. The customer gets billed for the repair or replacement cost. Graffiti is different; the driver just cleans it during the next service visit if the cleaner can handle it. The big costs come from structural damage that requires a new unit or specialized parts for a restroom trailer.
