How do operators choose deodorizer for high-use construction sites?

I'm running a fleet of standard portable toilets on a high-rise construction site downtown. We've got 200 workers on site for a 12-month build. The units get hammered from 6 AM to 6 PM, six days a week. Even with weekly service, the ammonia smell is cutting through the blue dye by day three. I'm using a formaldehyde-free deodorizer now, but it's not holding up. The vacuum truck has good access, we placed them on level ground near the crane base, but the heat and heavy use are overwhelming the standard formula. What deodorizers are other operators using for these high-use construction jobs? Do you switch to a stronger biocide or just service more often?

Operators use a high-strength formaldehyde-free deodorizer for high-use construction sites. The standard formula isn't enough for 200 workers using units six days a week. I've seen ammonia build up fast in that heat.

You need a deodorizer with a stronger biocide and more surfactant. Look for one labeled 'construction grade' or 'high-traffic'. It breaks down waste faster and masks odor better. Even then, weekly service won't cut it. With that many guys, you're looking at twice-weekly service at least. The holding tank fills up quick, and the deodorizer gets diluted.

Check your service frequency first. More pumps mean less time for smell to develop. Also, make sure your driver is charging enough deodorizer each visit. Under-dosing is common when units are getting hammered. If the smell still cuts through, try a different brand. Some formulas handle ammonia better than others.
