October 2026 5k race: porta potties for 200 runners and 100 spectators?

I'm organizing a 5k race in October 2026 with 200 runners and about 100 spectators expected. The event runs from 7 AM to 11 AM, so four hours total. We'll have a water station and post-race snacks, but no alcohol. The course is in a city park on grass, and the finish area has paved paths where a service truck can park nearby. I'm thinking about standard units for most people, but I want to make sure we have enough for everyone without long lines. Should I include an ADA-compliant unit? What's a good mix for this crowd size and duration?

For a 4-hour 5k race with 200 runners and 100 spectators, the minimum number of portable toilets is six standard units plus one ADA-compliant unit. This count follows the event planning guideline of one unit per 50 people for a short event without alcohol. The ADA cluster rule requires at least one ADA-compliant unit in any cluster of portable toilets at a public event in a park. Add more units if your crowd has a high percentage of women or if you want to reduce wait times. Since your event is only four hours, you do not need a service visit during the event itself. The rental company will deliver clean units and pick them up after the race. Costs are driven by the number and type of units, the rental duration, and the delivery distance. A restroom trailer is an upgrade that provides flushing toilets and sinks but requires level ground and a generator or power hookup, which adds to the expense.
