October 2026 wedding: 200 guests, open bar, 6 hours. How many porta potties?

We're planning our wedding for October 2026 at a local vineyard. We'll have about 200 guests, an open bar, and dinner service. The event will run for six hours, and the ground is grassy but level. The venue has no indoor restrooms, so we need to bring everything in. A service truck can park right next to the site. I'm trying to figure out how many porta potties we need, should we go with standard units, deluxe units with sinks, or a restroom trailer? And do we need an ADA-compliant unit too? What's the right mix for a crowd this size with alcohol served?

For 200 guests with an open bar over six hours, plan for eight to ten portable toilets plus one ADA-compliant unit. The ADA requires at least one accessible unit per cluster, so include that. Standard units work fine, but deluxe units with sinks improve the guest experience and reduce handwash station needs. A restroom trailer is another upscale option but requires level ground, power, and a water hookup or tank.

Alcohol and longer events increase usage, so err on the higher side. Place units in clusters with clear access for the service truck. Service frequency depends on use: weekly is standard, but for a one-day event, a post-event service suffices. Costs vary by unit type, rental duration, service visits, and delivery distance. Add handwash stations or sanitizer dispensers near each cluster.
