Why was our service missed when the unit was only 30 feet from access?

Our ranch has a standard unit for seasonal hands, placed on flat gravel about 30 feet from a two-track road. The vacuum truck parks right there, no gates or obstacles. Last service, the driver skipped us and said the unit was too far. I measured it, 30 feet exactly, hose should reach fine. We’ve had weekly service visits for months with no issue until now. Is 30 feet over some limit? Do companies have a strict distance rule, or was this a mistake?

Thirty feet is within reach for most vacuum truck hoses, so the driver likely made a mistake or had a different issue. The standard hose length is 50 to 100 feet, and 30 feet is routine. Sometimes drivers skip a unit if the ground is soft and the truck can't get close without getting stuck, or if the unit is blocked by vehicles or equipment on service day. Check your contract for any specific access terms, but 30 feet should not be a problem. Call your rental company and ask for a reason, they might send a different driver or adjust the placement. Always ensure the access road is clear and firm on service days to avoid missed visits.
