Why is a restroom trailer rental so much more than standard units?
I'm getting quotes for my backyard wedding next spring. For 140 guests over six hours with a caterer and an open bar, I'm comparing a 4-stall restroom trailer against four standard units. The trailer quote is three times the price of the four standard units. The rental company explained the trailer has flushing toilets, sinks with running water, mirrors and interior lighting, which requires a generator or power hookup and a water source. It also needs to be leveled on firm ground. A standard unit is a basic non-flushing toilet with a hand sanitizer dispenser. The delivery for the trailer is also higher because it's a heavier, more complex tow. What exactly makes up the cost difference? Is it the materials, the setup complexity, or the service requirements?
