Hunting camp for 10 guys in November 2026: service every 5 days enough?

Setting up a hunting camp for 10 guys for a week this November. It's a pretty standard setup: a mix of tents and a cabin shell on a flat clearing with decent truck access. The crew will be out all day and we'll have heavy meals and a few beers back at camp in the evening. I'm looking at a standard unit with a handwash station.

The rental company recommends a weekly service visit. I'm wondering if that's enough for a full week with this group, or if the tank will be too full and unpleasant by day five or six. The ground is solid, but if it freezes at night, I don't want the service to be a problem either. Should I stick with the weekly schedule or ask for a mid-week pump?

A mid-week service visit is the safer call for 10 guys on one standard unit for a full week when you have heavy meals and beer at night.

Weekly service is the baseline a lot of rentals quote for lighter home use. Ten adults living on the unit all week, eating big, and drinking in the evenings fill the holding tank faster and the deodorizer gives out sooner. By day five or six you can get odor and a high tank even when the truck still has a clear path in.

If overnight lows are near freezing, confirm winterization on the charge so the tank and any handwash water do not gel before that mid-week stop. Keep the unit on the flat clearing where the truck can pull straight in. One standard unit plus a handwash station is fine for that headcount for a week as long as you do not skip the mid-week pump.
