Thanksgiving morning fun run around our HOA loop. Do a couple of porta potties cover the start line rush?

Our HOA board is hosting a Thanksgiving morning fun run this year, a walk or jog around the neighborhood loop with about 150 people expected. Everyone shows up in the 30 minutes before the start, and the clubhouse restroom is a single stall that we usually lock for the holiday.

We're thinking of renting two standard units and parking them next to the starting arch on the paved cul de sac. Two of us on the board think the line will still be huge right before the gun goes off. Is two realistic for a crowd that all arrives at once, or does the timing matter more than the total headcount? Also, should one of the two be an accessible unit since this is an HOA event open to the whole street?

Two standard units are not enough for 150 people arriving in 30 minutes. The timing matters more than the total headcount here. Use the event planning guideline: one unit per 50 to 75 people for a four-hour event. Your crowd arrives at once, so you need more units to prevent long lines.

Rent at least three standard units. Add one ADA-compliant unit to follow the ADA 5 percent cluster rule. An HOA event open to the public should include accessible facilities.

Place the units on level ground near the start line. Service is not needed for a single morning event. The rental company will deliver clean units and pick them up after the run. The cost depends on the number of units, delivery distance, and any add-ons like handwash stations.
