Mid-project layout change: will they relocate our porta potty, or is that a full pickup and redelivery?

We're about six weeks into a commercial build and the crew is shifting from the east pad to the west wing next Monday. The standard unit sits right where the new staging area needs to go, so it has to move about 80 feet across the lot.

The vacuum truck already services us weekly with decent access on either side. What I don't know is whether most rental outfits treat a mid-contract move as a simple relocate on a service day, or if they bill it like a pickup plus a new delivery. Also wondering how much notice they usually need so we don't lose a day with no toilet on site.

Anyone dealt with this on a multi-phase job? Prefer hearing what actually worked over what the brochure says.

Most rental companies will treat an 80-foot move as a simple relocation, not a full pickup and redelivery, if the unit remains on the same site and the vacuum truck has clear access to both the old and new spots. They typically handle it during a regular service visit at no extra charge, but confirm this with your provider as policies vary. Give them at least 48 hours' notice to schedule the move with the service driver. Blocking the unit or requesting a last-minute change can lead to a missed service and additional fees. On multi-phase jobs, I coordinate moves like this by marking the new placement with spray paint and ensuring the ground is level and accessible. Never assume the crew will relocate it themselves, tampering with the unit voids warranties and risks spills.
