Monthly jobsite rental: weekly or every-other-week service for a 10-person crew?

We're lining up a six-week residential addition. Crew of about 10, five days a week, 7 to 3:30. One standard unit on the gravel drive where the truck can pull straight up.

The monthly quote includes weekly service. Sales mentioned some small crews drop to every other week. I do not want the tank getting rough by Friday if we stretch it, and I also do not want to pay for service we do not need.

For a crew this size with no food truck, just coolers and coffee, what actually works? Weekly as the safe default, or do similar residential builds run biweekly without complaints? And does the first pump usually land a few days after delivery, or on a fixed weekday no matter when the unit shows up?

Weekly service is the standard for a crew of ten, and you should keep it that way for a six-week residential job. The OSHA construction sanitation standard, OSHA 1926.51, requires only one toilet for 20 or fewer workers, so a single standard unit meets the legal minimum. However, a 50- to 70-gallon holding tank with ten people using it daily will be full or very close to full by the end of a week. Stretching to every other week almost guarantees an overflow or severe odor by the second Friday, especially with summer heat. The rental company's monthly quote includes weekly service because that's what keeps the unit clean and functional. The first service visit is typically scheduled for a fixed weekday, like every Tuesday, regardless of when the unit is delivered. If it's delivered on a Thursday, you get a few extra days of use before that first pump. Stick with weekly service; it's not an upsell, it's what prevents complaints from your crew about a rough unit.
