November 2026 wedding: 200 guests, outdoor ceremony, heaters. Units needed?

We're planning our wedding for November 2026, outdoor ceremony and reception under a tent on my aunt's property. Expecting 200 guests total, with heaters running since it'll be chilly. The whole event will run about 6 hours, and we're serving dinner and alcohol. The ground is grassy and mostly level, and a truck can pull right up to the spot where we'd place everything. I'm trying to figure out how many units we need and whether to go with standard portable toilets or something nicer like a restroom trailer. What's the right mix for a crowd this size with food and drinks involved?

For 200 guests at a six-hour wedding with dinner and alcohol, plan for at least 8 to 10 portable toilets, including one ADA-compliant unit. The alcohol and meal service mean more frequent use, so err on the higher side. A restroom trailer is a nicer option but needs level ground, electrical hookup for lights and flushing, and a water source if not self-contained. Standard units work fine too, just add a handwash station with soap and water near the food area, which is a health department rule in most places. Since it's November, ask your rental company about winterization; they'll add antifreeze to the holding tanks to prevent freezing. Service isn't needed for a one-day event, but the units will be delivered clean and fully stocked. The cost depends on unit type, rental duration, and delivery distance, so get quotes from a few companies.
