How are you handling the 2026 biodegradable deodorizer mandates?
Our state health department just sent out draft rules for 2026: all portable toilet deodorizers must be fully biodegradable and meet new toxicity limits. We've been using a formaldehyde-free formula for years, but these specs are tighter. I'm testing a couple of enzyme-based blends that claim to break down faster without clogging up the wastewater plant. They're pricier and I'm not sure they'll hold up in a standard unit on a construction site with 50 guys for a week in July. What formulas are you all switching to that actually work? Are you seeing any issues with odor control or tank residue?
