Remodel ran long. Can I keep the driveway porta potty another month?

We're six weeks into a bathroom remodel and the contractor just said we need another four weeks before the house toilet is usable again. We already have a standard unit on the driveway with weekly service visits baked into the monthly rate.

The original quote was for two months. Nobody mentioned what happens if we just keep it. Does the rental company roll us into another month at the same rate, or do they write a new contract and re-quote delivery?

The pad is still level asphalt and the vacuum truck can pull straight in from the street. I'm fine paying for another month of service. I just want to know if I need to call them before the pickup date they already put on the calendar, or if they assume we want it gone when the original term ends.

Call them before the pickup date on the calendar. Rental companies do not assume you want to keep a driveway standard unit past the original term. If you stay quiet they will show up and haul it.

When I extended a remodel rental the office rolled the same unit into another month without a new delivery. The pad and truck access did not change, so they kept the weekly service visit on the same route day and billed another month at the monthly rate already on the account. They did not rewrite a full contract for a one-month holdover. Some shops treat holdovers as a short addendum on the existing order; ask which paperwork they use so you get it in writing.

Tell them the house toilet still is not usable and confirm the next pickup window so nobody arrives with a truck while you still need the unit. If the vacuum truck can still pull straight in from the street, say that when you call. Access problems are what usually force a re-quote or a unit swap, not a simple date extension.
