How do you tell party guests to use the porta potty and not the house bathroom?
We're hosting a housewarming for about 60 people in our backyard. Our house only has one working bathroom, and we know it'll get overwhelmed. We're renting a single standard portable toilet and a handwash station to go with it. The party will be about six hours, we'll have food and drinks, and the unit will sit on level grass at the edge of the driveway where the truck can pull right up.
My main question is about managing the flow. How do you politely but firmly tell guests to use the porta potty outside and not sneak back into the house? Do you lock the house door? Put up signs? I want to avoid the line forming indoors and the mess that comes with it.
Also, with food and drinks involved, is one standard unit enough for 60 people, or should I have considered a deluxe unit with a sink?
